I have been having my LG G3 for 3 years now purchased it in Everything worked great until last week Now the android version is 5. I guess the solution is to downgrade the software again, what do you think? How can I find out? Once I find out, I guess the correct procedure will be to follow your guide. Thank you for this document.
Can anyone translate it to Linux for me? I have tried other Windows procedure by running them through Wine but I get hung up on specifying the port number in Linux. Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
How to Root the LG G3. Are you able to get into Download Mode right now? Do you replace the MegaLock. Thank you very much, this was awsome. At which step does it say fail? Where might I find the firmware for my g3 not listed on the link you provided. What is the model number for the LG G3 that you do have? Thank you for pointing that out. It seems to download for me just fine. Have you tried from another computer, maybe? Wrong DLL file?
I did everything right help. Maybe a reboot of the PC after installing the drivers might help Are you on Windows 8? Never mind. Reinstalled drivers and it works now. After a few tries it finally worked. Did you use USB 2. I just flashed my G3 from 12b to 10b using your instructions, on a Win 8. Thanks for the instructions. Hopefully if anyone else gets this error then they will try what you did and be able to fix it.
Worked great on Windows 8. THANK a million man. This worked perfectly! Worked perfectly on the first try, thank you! Sorry for my bad english Thanks. Could you take a screenshot of the error you are getting?
Help Please. We had another user having the same error, see if their steps help you. Step I add the MegaLock file and it says wrong dll. Where do you download megalock. That step comes completely out of nowhere! Dear Android Explained. Thanks for this feedback, I will add this into the tutorial right now. HI Doug, Thanks for the tutorial it worked great. Is there a way to do this without using a PC?
Thanks so much for this! I updated to lolipop and it broke my phone! But T-mobile users beware, the SIM card issue may be a problem for you. I will let you know if I find a solution. Thanks for the help. I have to agree. I hope LG adds back silent mode just like Samsung did. Another reader had something similar happen to them and this is what they said.
Thanks for the feedback. MY phone has got bootloop and stuck on the number 2 screen any ideas how to fix! Hello I need some help. Hi Talha, These sounds like pre-installed applications and you might not be able to uninstall them without root access. Kdz file. As a comment, I also noticed that it changed from version D to DV. I did some research and found this.
If you found a way around this, I would be very curious to find out what fixed it for you. I have the same issue, found the solution as yet? If I find any solution i will let you know.
I managed to get revert back to kitkat. I re-attempted everything on my laptop and it worked. In case the one you got before was corrupt upon downloading it Let me know if this does or does not help. Or what does work if you ended up figuring it out. Thanks, you saved me, it worked perfect! Downgrading the LG G3 should resolve any issues that have happened since upgrading to Lollipop.
Black screen, no logos, charging LED or anything. Trying to get this fixed. Its my only phone. Is there a way or am I out of luck? You might be making some mistake. Try gain and again. I accepted to install then the device turned off..
Nothing else happens. Just do as I told you above. I have been through similar situation quite a few times. Rakesh please help… I downloaded the stock rom by verifying it with imei of my device.. G2 is a hell… I would suggest every one to never buy this handset..
Yesterday I visited market to see if there is a cure available… And I found that they already had more than 15 sets with the same problem.. I went to a popular shop and said that I have a set, and its touch is not working properly since i changed the ROM.. I asked how do know? I now flashed another firmware, this time 32GB..
I now connected my phone to PC, pressed powered button again and then volume up key… it has now entered the download mode.. However, before you attempt the guide, make sure that USB Debugging was enabled on your G2 before it got into bootloop. It will work as an external flash drive for your phone. I dont think usb debugging was enabled before this happened, i disabled it in developers options… and its not turning off.. I keep the power button pressed, it turns off and then immediately turns back on automatically… cant save the power, I am keeping it on charger since this happened, so that its battery does not die..
Hey I tried something weird and it worked! In LG support tool it again gave the same error remove battery etc ,, i clicked the retry button and immediately pressed the power button.. Darn it! It kept on installing, I waited for about 5 min and then It powered on… but its touch is not working at all… I tab at the center and it responses from a corner.. I think the TWRP recovery mode has been removed..
